For UK-based ShipEngine accounts, you have immediate access to GlobalPost, EVRi, DPD, and Yodel services with ShipEngine Carriers (with more carriers to come soon!). There’s no need to create and connect individual carrier accounts. Activate ShipEngine Carriers by adding the billing method you wish to use to purchase your labels and add funds to your ShipEngine Balance.
Evri provides domestic drop-off and scheduled collection services. When using collection services, we automatically schedule a next-day pickup for those parcels with Evri. DPD and Yodel provide domestic drop-off services for either "print at home" or "print at store".

Add funds to your ShipEngine Balance
You can add funds using ShipEngine’s add_funds endpoint, which must first be enabled by the ShipEngine Support team. If you'd like to add funds via this endpoint, please submit a request to our support team.

All shipments require weight and dimensions (we recommend using grams or kilograms for weight units)

First and last names are required for both Ship To and Ship From addresses

GlobalPost and Yodel parcels must be dropped off at a drop-off point (pickups not yet available for GlobalPost and Yodel from ShipEngine services).
To start using ShipEngine Carriers, you must activate it by adding the payment method you wish to use for your labels. Log into ShipEngine and do the following:
You will now see your available carriers under Setup > Carriers, where you can also find their unique Carrier IDs. You can also make a List Carriers call to view all of your Carrier IDs and available services.
Be sure to also add funds to your ShipEngine Balance so you can start purchasing your labels!
Connecting Your Own Carrier Accounts
You can also connect your own carrier accounts through the My Carrier Accounts section of the Carriers settings page.

Courier Collection: Schedule Pickup |
You can create a label using either of Evri’s Courier Collection services (Evri Domestic or Evri Postable) available in ShipEngine. Once you create a label, we automatically send a pickup request to Evri for the following business day. The collection cost will be included in the label fee. To change or cancel Courier Collection requests, you must contact ShipEngine support. The cutoff time for collection is just past midnight. For example, if you need service for tomorrow, the latest time you can submit the collection request is by 00:59 AM on 25/05/23. |
Postable |
"Postable" means anything that can fit into a letterbox, such as large letters, books, or small toys. Residential and workplace deliveries of Postable packages do not require a person to receive the package. Items that can be sent as Postable may be:

Paperless Label Support |
You can request a paperless label download link instead of a label PDF when creating a label. Add the Paperless / QR Code supported for the following services:

Certain courier-imposed fees may be assessed after you create a label and dispatch the parcel.
These fees include, but are not limited to:

Excess weight surcharges

Out-of-area surcharges

Courier pickup-up surcharges
These fees are assessed by the courier and reported back to ShipEngine. Once ShipEngine has received notification of these charges, they will be deducted from your ShipEngine balance.
