See Sendle's pages on US Parcel Pickups or AU Parcel Pickups for more information and restrictions.

Sendle rates include Goods and Services Tax (GST).

Please review Sendle's Cover Policy outline (US Cover Policy or AU Cover Policy) for more details. You can file insurance claims through Sendle directly on their US website or AU website.

International shipping

When the destination is outside of Australia, ShipEngine will print a CN22 customs form on a 4 x 6-inch label.

See Sendle's International Pickup article for more information on shipping international parcels.

Label Messages

Label messages correspond to:

  • Label Message 1 = customer reference

  • Label Message 2 = receiver instructions (if blank, defaults to confirmation type)

  • Label Message 3 = sender instructions (does not print on label)

Sendle Express Service Details

  • Sendle Express is only available in Australian metro areas (specifically, where the pickup and delivery addresses are both in metro areas). List of supported pickup postcodes here: Sendle - Express Domestic Pickup Suburbs.

  • Express parcels can be up to 5kg and 20L.

  • Express parcels are picked up by different drivers, so you must keep them separate from any other Sendle parcels being picked up.

  • Express parcels are Authority To Leave only.

  • Same-day pickup when booked by 12:00 pm.

Return Labels

When returning an order, receivers must drop off their parcel at a supported drop-off point. Returns are Pay On Use, so you can print return labels to include in packages and you will only be charged for them if the receiver uses it.

Additional Details about the Sendle Integration

  • Sendle does not guarantee the No Authority to Leave/Signature on Delivery confirmation type.

  • By default, Sendle shipments do not have a confirmation type selected.

  • ShipEngine will not create Sendle labels with a scheduled Ship Date of the current date. To allow for the pickup request to be sent to Sendle, all shipments will default to one business day ahead of the current date.

  • Sendle will return rates when you make a request to the ShipEngine Rates endpoints, but Sendle Rate Estimates are not supported.

  • There may be a slight delay in label creation. It can take 5-10 seconds for Sendle to return a label file.

  • For shipments originating from the US, Sendle includes up to $150 in insurance coverage with each shipment. Additional insurance from Sendle cannot be added.

  • International Pickups require you to show your ID for the first three pickups. See Sendle's International Parcel Pickups Explained for more details.

  • Sendle shipments created in ShipEngine must follow Sendle's shipment policies. See their What Can't I Sendle? article (US website or AU website) for more information on restricted items.

  • See Sendle's Coronavirus Update blog for up-to-date information on domestic and international delivery timelines impacted by COVID-19.
