You can change your ShipEngine subscription plan at any time to suit the needs of your business.
ShipEngine offers three plan types to meet the shipping needs of companies of all sizes. Each of our plan guides provides details about features included in the plan.
Our Advanced plan guide also includes details on call limits and overage fees to help you better estimate your costs.
ShipEngine Plans:
If you select a different Advanced label volume plan, your new volume and overage limits will immediately be increased or decreased at a prorated rate for the remaining days in your billing cycle. The subscription fee for your new plan will begin on the first day of the next calendar month.
If you change to the Free plan from any of the Advanced Plans, your new plan will start when your current billing period ends. After that, you will have access to the Free plan limited feature set and only be allowed to create labels with ShipEngine Carriers. If you have not enabled ShipEngine Carriers, you will be required to do so by entering a payment method.
To change your ShipEngine plan:
-
Click Change Plan.
The Select your plan screen will appear with the available plan options.
-
Select the plan you'd like to switch to and click Select Plan to continue.
-
If moving to an Advanced Plan from the Free plan, you'll then enter your payment method details.

For the Advanced Plan, you must also select your shipment volume: 1k, 5k, or 10k. Review our Advanced Plan help article for details on features and pricing tiers for each volume level.

Click Finish & Pay when you are done.
Should you ever need to cancel your account, you can do so from the Subscription plan page. Canceled accounts can no longer make any API calls.
If you only need to pause your account for a time, we recommend changing to the Free plan. On the Free plan, you are not charged any monthly subscription fee, only for the labels you create. You can remain on the Free plan during a period of downtime when you don't plan on creating any labels.
To cancel your account, go to the Subscription plan page. Under the Cancel Account heading, click the Click Here link to begin.
Before confirming your account cancellation, please fill in the comment box to let us know why. We'd really appreciate it!
Once you cancel, your account will remain active until the end of the billing cycle on the plan you were on when you canceled.
