Add and Edit Users

A Shipstation API user is created by default when you sign up for a Shipstation API account, but you can also create additional users. Creating multiple users qill allow additional personnel to log in and see information that can only be accessed in the dashboard.

Create Users

To create additional ShipEngine users:

  1. Select Settings and then Account from the side navigation.

  2. Click the Add User button.

  3. Enter the following required information:

    • Username

    • Full Name

    • Email

  4. Click Save.

Disable Users

To disable a previously created user:

  1. Select Settings and then Account from the side navigation.

  2. Click the Actions menu Actions menu. Three-dot ellipsis, then Edit for the user you would like to disable.

  3. Toggle the Activate user (can log in) option off.

  4. Click Save.

The disabled user will no longer be able to log in to ShipStation API.

Toggle the Show Inactive option on at the top of the Users page to view disabled users.

Change User Passwords

To change or update a user’s password:

  1. Select Settings and then Account from the side navigation.

  2. Click the Edit link for the user whose password needs to be changed.

  3. Enter the new password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields.

  4. Click Save.
